PhilantroGuia is devoted to guiding Hispanics in South Florida in their path to finding the unique form of fulfillment that active and organized giving provides.

We offer information about the different types of organizations involved in philanthropy and the causes that they foster, so that everyone may identify what appeals the most to their interests and sensibilities. We also describe the various forms of giving available, whether in the form of time, talent, funding or gifts-in-kind.

We also recognize every year two Hispanic individuals in South Florida whose philanthropic activities have had a positive impact on the welfare of our community.

Sembrando Semillas Award: This award recognizes Hispanics who, with limited resources, have dedicated themselves to philanthropic causes. It is presented to individuals who through volunteerism impact the lives of those in need in the community and do so as part of a formal or informal organization. Volunteerism brings the best in us by providing us with the means to selfless acts of kindness.

Líder Hispano Award: This award recognizes Hispanics who have shown proven leadership in the area of philanthropy in our community, with consistency through the years, whether recognized publicly or not. Leadership in promoting humanity’s welfare is one of the most valuable assets anyone can bring to philanthropy.
